HOW WE CAN HELP IN AN EMERGENCY

Like accident and emergency cases in any hospital, vet emergencies can vary greatly in their urgency. We triage incoming patients and see them based on their need for urgent veterinary care. It is the best method by which to ensure the most severe cases are treated in the timeliest manner.

The more information we have about your pet and their medical situation, the more efficiently we can treat them.

Please do not feed your pet before arrival as this may result in some tests or procedures having to be delayed.

Please be aware that the Pet Emergency Hospital does not specialise in exotic pets.

Dispensary

The Pet Emergency Hospital carries a wide range of medications to ensure that your pet will have no break in treatment until your own Vet Clinic is open. If you have run out of medication, we will need to see your pet before dispensing prescription drugs. This is to comply with legislation in this area.
